FIRST PERSPECTIVE NEWS
The First Perspective is Canada's source on indigenous peoples. We publish news, native law cases, First Calendar of events, pow wows and commentary by indigenous writers and contributors. First Perspective is published monthly by Taiga Communications at Brokenhead Ojibway Nation, General Delivery, Scanterbury, Manitoba, Canada R0E 1W0.

ABORIGINAL VOICES
Aboriginal Voices magazine publishes news and perspectives about the lives and experiences of Native Peoples in North America. Aboriginal Voices Inc. is the non-profit corporation which publishes Aboriginal Voices magazine every two months and promotes the view that Native Peoples should have a voice within the North American experience. Aboriginal Voices magazine is distributed widely throughout the United States and Canada. The Aboriginal Voices organization is managed and staffed by Native Americans and Native Canadians and has trained over 25 Native individuals in various aspects of media and broadcasting production over the past five years.

The aboriginal peoples television network (APTN)
The Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, or APTN, is Canada’s newest national television network. Its launch on September 1, 1999 represented a significant milestone for Aboriginal Canada -- for the first time in broadcast history, First Nations, Inuit and Metis people will have the opportunity to share their stories with the rest of the world on a national television network dedicated to Aboriginal programming.

Publisher of Manitoba's Largest Aboriginal Newspaper as well as a National Edition and a Northern Manitoba paper.

NUNATSIAQ NEWS
Nunatsiaq News is based in Iqaluit, a town of about 4,000 people at the end of Frobisher Bay on Baffin Island. Nunatsiaq News is widely regarded as Nunavut's newspaper of record. Nunatsiaq News are sold and distributed every Friday throughout the three NWT regions--Baffin, Keewatin, and Kitikmeot--that will form the new territory of Nunavut in 1999.

WINDSPEAKER
Windspeaker, Canada's National Aboriginal News Source is published by the Aboriginal Multi-Media Society of Alberta (AMMSA)which serves Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal readers throughout Canada, and increasingly, around the world. As Windspeaker prepares to celebrate its 15th year of publishing, it is firm in its commitment to maintain a current, relevant, objective and independent viewpoint while reporting news, and providing information, current affairs and entertainment features with the utmost accuracy.

ALBERTA SWEETGRASS
Alberta Sweetgrass, which serves the Aboriginal people and their communities throughout Alberta. Alberta Sweetgrass has been published monthly since 1993 and has grown to be Alberta's most widely circulated Aboriginal newspaper. Current circulation is more than 7,000 per month. Alberta Sweetgrass's community focus and grassroots appeal has made it extremely popular with rural Aboriginal readers.

CFWE-FM -
The Native Perspective is the Aboriginal Voice heard throughout Alberta and Canada. CFWE broadcasts via satellite to 49 Alberta Aboriginal communities 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

SASKATCHEWAN SAGE
In October, 1996 AMMSA began publishing Saskatchewan Sage, a new newspaper designed to serve the Aboriginal people of Saskatchewan. Saskatchewan Sage is published monthly and already boasts a monthly circulation of more than 8,000 . Saskatchewan Sage is about sharing the common Aboriginal experience be our readers Metis, First Nations or non-status.

RAVENEYE
You will find Raven's Eye in every First Nation, Métis settlement, friendship centre, and Aboriginal community in British Columbia and the Yukon. Raven's Eye has the goal of developing and maintaining the largest circulation of all Aboriginal newspapers in British Columbia.

WEETAMAH
Weetamah is an Aboriginal newspaper produced and distributed throughout Manitoba, Northwestern Ontario, Saskatchewan and Alberta.. It is circulated to all First Nations and Metis communities, Tribal Councils, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal businesses and organizations. We publish monthly and the sole form of financing our paper is through advertising revenues .

WOLF HOWLS
Wolf Howls' , The Tsilhqot'in Nation Journal, is published by the Wild Horse Wise Outfit Consulting and Media Production Company . The journal fulfils its mandate that was directed, in September of 1994, by the Tsilhqot´in National Government Council of Chiefs who represent the Tsilhqot´in Nation.
Wolf Howls' mandate is to establish a nation consciousness among the Tsilhqot´in people, to advance the political sovereignist agenda of the Tsilhqot´in Nation, to document the history of the issues and events important to Tsilhqot´ins, and to provide an independent forum.
